Hello 2015!

Yeah, it's been a while. Whatever, it's my blog, I'll type when I want to.

Abu Dhabi was a blast. More on that at some point in the future. Suffice to say, it didn't flood, we were visited by the population of Dundee over the course of the festival and I still can't believe I got to work with such a wonderful bunch of people.

Thanks to Abu Dhabi, I got my flat decorated. My bathroom is totally finished, my bedroom has curtains up and is dunzo, the living room has been painted a delightful, calming grey. The doors are still a horrifying shade of gloss brown, but they're the next to go. Kitchen will happen at some point, but there have been "happenings" on the mortgage front, so I'll potentially leave that till later on.

The happenings are not bad happenings, oh no. In fact, they're pretty amazing. I had a long conversation with my financial advisor who said that the best thing to do was to pay off the whole balance right away (though my initial decision to take out a mortgage was widely lauded by said advisor). So, while it wipes out much of my trust (leaving me with a good chunk of OHSHIT money), I'll have paid off my mortgage by the age of 30. Phew.

Anyway, that's my brain dump for today. I'm feeling a lot of anxiety about it, but that seems to stem from the last few years of financial, domestic and emotional instability, so I'll work through it.
