Renovation, fun and Games and exciting news.
House is still getting done up, currently booking the builder to get my bathroom sorted. After that it's just painting and I can worry about doing the kitchen sometime in the future.
The Commonwealth Games were the Most Fun Ever. I was exhausted by the end of it, but I drank rum on a Royal Navy Warship, met athletes, danced in the sunshine, danced in the rain, enjoyed having a pub directly outside work, and had the time of my life. Cheers, Glasgow 2014, you did us proud! I even got to be on the BBC Breakfast news!
Then I found out that I'm going back to Abu Dhabi for the Science Festival, which is enormously exciting. The format of the festival has changed a little bit, so it's going to be great to work with a different(ish) group of people down at the flippin' beach!
And I've entered another half marathon, because I'm weak and succumbed to peer-pressure. I'm raising money for SAMH, the Scottish Association for Mental Health, and my friends have been incredibly generous. If you want to sponsor me, head on down to www.justgiving.com/ninacameron and chuck a few quid their way. It's a fantastic cause, and one very close to my heart.
That's your lot for now.
