It looks like I'm not really cut out for art-y things. I have an inbuilt inability to take anything like last night seriously, and though I'm sure that lots of work and thought went into the pieces on display, all I could think of was this episode of Spaced.
It was a video installation in an old glue factory (called, unsurprisingly, The Glue Factory) where all the artists displayed their videos at the same time in various rooms in an industrial setting while a DJ played strange post-apocalyptic noises. It was interesting, but not quite my thing.
Not entirely certain of my plans for today, there's a do at the 13th Note tonight which should be good fun. I think avoiding town would be a good idea as it's the last payday before Christmas and it will be like something out of Dawn of the Dead (which is on iPlayer at the moment and is lined up to watch later on). I might just go for a stroll along the river or into the West End because the weather is gorgeous.
Later on:
Well, I attempted a run, which was more of a high-speed skid round Glasgow Green because man alive, it's icy! I then walked/slid into town for a free gin toddy at the Good Spirits Co., which came with some bonus Christmas inspiration. Hurray!
