Today is The Best Day Ever.
You know how, a while back, I interviewed for a job at a local Palace of Science and Awesome? And I didn't get the job? And then I took all of the feedback from that interview, and applied it to an interview for a certain internationally-renowned science festival, and got the job and then got offered a post in Abu Dhabi?
Well, I then used all the experience and training that the science festival gave me, and applied that to the interview I had yesterday afternoon, and apparently it paid off.
After my holiday, about which I will be blogging ALL THE THINGS, I'll be starting work as a science communicator, full-time, and I'm currently trying not to ugly cry at all The Feels that this is dredging up.
I really, really hope this gets back to the coward who decided I'd be following him round the globe, working shitty jobs just to get by. That's basically the opposite of what I'll be doing. I'll be working at my dream job (no exaggeration), in a city I adore, living in a home that I own (this will be my 29th birthday present to myself, just FYI. Expect more moving photos soon...). I could not be happier, nor more proud of myself and what I've done in the last not-quite-year.
