In other celebrity news, I had a complete and utter "Holy crap, is that who I think it is? I think it is! TO GOOGLE!" moment yesterday at work.
The very lovely and totally fascinating Gordon Buchanan (BBC wildlife cameraman extraordinaire) came into my shop. I may have had a minor BBC nature documentary fangirl moment (if you were raised on a diet of Attenborough and his frankly astounding legacy of educational programming from BBC2, you would have too) before pulling myself together sufficiently to actually hold a mostly-coherent conversation with him.
Managed to keep a grasp of my geography (my sister would be amazed) enough to remember that Burma borders India, and was able to talk about the wildlife in India. Turns out he'd been to Bangalore and Mysore too, so we had a wee chuckle about the antics of the monkeys out there.
After having to suggest to a grown man on the bus that maybe he ought to take his three chocolate bar wrappers with him when he left the bus, it went a long way towards making yesterday pretty awesome. Sometimes our idols don't have feet of clay.
