Proud

Today I did something I wasn't expecting to do. Well, I was expecting to get up early, get kitted up, go to Bellahouston Park, be rained on a lot and take part in the Glasgow Women's 10k, with several thousand other brave souls.

What I wasn't expecting was to run the whole shebang, from start to finish. I'm pretty fucking chuffed, and my time wasn't bad at all at 1.00.17, though Ka did it in 54 minutes, because she's hardcore like that. And a better runner than me.

Look! We're still smiling!

She's already talking me into doing a 10k in Ayr on the 29th, and I'm more up for that than I thought I'd be. There's also talk of chippy-chips on the seafront afterwards, which has nothing to do with my enthusiasm, I assure you.

In added-extra-awesome-bonus news, I'll be moving at the end of the month to a flat in the West End, spitting distance from Byres Road, the Yarn Cake and Kelvingrove Park and Galleries. I'm enormously excited and have already started looking at running routes round there.
