Missed a day again!

Yesterday was my first proper lie-in for ages, I was at the getting-slightly-hysterical stage of tired and after getting up at 5.45am on Monday, I think turning my alarm off was the way forward. Spending the morning relaxing in bed was fabulous, I caught right up on The Walking Dead, Fringe and American Horror Story and drank litres of tea. It was perfect.

I walked into town, but went via the People's Palace for a wee snook around, it's been done up nicely but still has some of the same exhibits (all the Union memorabilia, Billy Connolly's banana shoes) which was nice to see. I will admit to being a bit sad, I'd been so looking forward to showing Ollie round places like that, so going by myself was kind of heartbreaking. I'm not the one missing out though.

Today, I need to find some strong magnets (I think the much-reviled Buckyballs are the way to go, hopefully they'll be strong enough) and cornflakes with iron in. This will all become clear next week, dear readers, I promise! After that, I want to head over to the West End for a look round the Art Gallery or Hunterian, the joy of free museums, I might go to both! I'm going out for tea at Sleazy's with Katherine, and then we're going to a special viewing of Drive, where College (the provider of the soundtrack) will be providing some "cutting-edge, forward-thinking, hypnotic beats and ultra-slick bass" before the film. You don't get that in Lancaster!

Seeing as this has been in pretty heavy rotation on my iPod, I'll leave you with this and let you know how the screening went. You can take the swooning over Gosling as read, of course.

Actually, while I'm posting things about music, I'll have to put a Frank Turner video up too. I am SO looking forward to Sunday night, it's been ages since I've been to a "proper" gig and it's the first time in years that I've seen Frank live. I'm really enjoying England Keep My Bones, though I'm torn between that and Love, Ire and Song as my favourite album. Anyway, here's some Frank for a damp Wednesday.
