If you include all the times I had to move flats at school, and the jolly to France and to India, I've lived in 20 different places. I dread to think how much time I've spent packing and unpacking in my life, I could have written that novel by now!
Oh well, we're in a shiny new house now. So those boxes and bags are now liberally spread out and they look like
this:

Note the door to the side of the bed, this is a cupboard/wardrobe that's large enough to require its own light. It is still not big enough for my stuff and Ollie's stuff combined. This is why we need the chest of drawers. My socks are living in a sports bag and my bras and pants are in a cardboard box, they should be treated with more dignity really.

The Overlarge Box o' Wool and Other Things made it over too. Where the desk is will be where the chest of drawers will go. Once the dining room table is in I have no clue where the desk will go, but that is just something to worry about another day.

Across the landing from my room is a much larger bathroom than the one at the old house. It's also not carpeted, which is a bit of a plus in my book. It also has one of
these in it, and it's one of the things I am most thankful for in this house.

A RAIN HEAD SHOWER THAT IS INSANELY HOT AND AWESOME AND I LOVE IT SO! Yeah, I get excited about showers. It's a freakin' awesome shower, you'd be excited too.

Part of the living room. The fairy lights made it over too, I'm a sucker for fairy lights just because I'm a 5 year-old kid at heart.

Thing the second I love about this house. A woodburning stove, I will be hibernating this winter in front of this, possibly nesting in my wool at the time. Happy times.

The rest of the living room more for completeness than aesthetics, nice big windows and a doorway that is in dire need of be-curtaining. It's fine at the moment but I have a feeling it's going to be chilly in winter.

What will be the dining room eventually. The boxes are mostly books that need putting on the shelves in the living room, unfortunately the shelves are a bit ricketey and shoogly and will more than likely fall over under the weight of the crap crime novels, so the books are staying in the boxes for the time being.

The nice wee galley kitchen, it's maybe a bit small for three but I'll be doing most of the cooking for two thirds of the household so it'll be ok. If you look out the window at the end you will see Thing The Third that I love about this house, but first a quick detour.

The boys have grand plans to build a shed for the boats, I'm looking forward to seeing how it turns out and how many hedgehogs end up nesting in it.
Ok, ok. Thing The Third! Here's a sneak peak...

And another...

Have you guessed yet?
Here's the last clue, and if you don't get it after this you might want to take that bucket off your head.

Well done you! Yeah, we've got a garden! Or a yarden, as my hairdresser calls it. The house even came with patio furniture so we enjoyed the first bit of sun of the year for most of last Saturday and Sunday in it with the weekend papers and a barbeque. I'm pleased with the place.
Off to London tomorrow night to watch Ol's brother run the Marathon on Sunday, I think an H&M binge is in order. I need some new clothes like I need a hole in the head but I am jonesing for some nicely priced cotton basics for summer.
We're heading to Brighton on Sunday night for The Hallowed Day of MY Birthday. I'm keeping my limbs crossed for nice weather, I could so go for a cheeky bottle of cider on the beach.
