Job Interviews and Knitting

I had a job interview on Friday with a shift manager at a local cinema, it's just for a Guest Assisstant post, but I'm checking my emails obsessively to see if they've gotten back to me one way or the other. I'd love to work in a cinema so I'm keeping my fingers tightly crossed.

I've also been knitting, which must come as a huge surprise to you guys.

Behold!

Finished jumper nombre un. The sleeves are a bit loose in fact, but I can get a long-sleeved t-shirt underneath it without any problems so I'm not overly worried. The lace yoke breaks up the acres of stocking stitch and makes it a lot more feminine that it might otherwise be. It's also lovely and long which is exactly what I was after.

Jumper nombre deux, this I am INSANELY proud of. The wool is perfect for it, soft, warm and with a smidgen of acrylic to make it a bit more hardwearing. I also love the colour and the fit, it's chunky wool but really doesn't do that "making you look like a bit fat elephantine beast" thing that chunky wool often does. This will be worn a lot over the next few months until it's warmer!
I haven't decided whether I'll be putting buttons on the eyes of the owls or not yet. I quite like it as is to be honest, but I think that one pair of buttons might look nice too as a wee accent.

So, fingers crossed about the job folks. I now need to work out what else I want to make with my purple wool which will keep me out of trouble!
