First day joy, and lots of rain.

I'm officially a student teacher, or rather trainee teacher as this is a "professional course" and we're "getting paid". We were also talked down to a lot, but on the whole, registration was a success. And we ended up in the pub, so all in all, a win.
I'm sitting in the YHA Troutbeck at the moment, considering what to have for dinner. Not that I have much choice, it's pasta'n'sauce all the way. I got to Windermere at dinner time yesterday, and was starving to start with, and shopping whilst hungry and tired is not the way to go. Sadly I'm two miles from a shop, and it's pissing it down, so I'll have to go with what I've got. At least I had the presence of mind to buy a couple of bottles of Chimay Blanche which are helping, plus the YH shower RULES.
Today was my first day at school, so was a little nervous, but it's been awesome. I got to make a mess in the name of science, sing sea shanties and get a massive lunch (with pudding) for nowt! Marvellous! I'm working with Mrs Fear (Best. Name. Ever. Plus she's lovely) with a year 6 group who're hilarious. We did maths (Ollie, we were doing rounding up and down today), english, choir, drama and then two of the same science lessons. I have to go write up some notes and pretend to do work later on, but at the moment it's tea time and I want a beer!
