Sigh...

I suppose I should really get me a life. Have done little to nothing the last few days bar running, and spending money I don't have on things I do actually need (which makes a pleasant change).

My legs ache, and it's only going to get worse because I'm going home this weekend (I do leave Leeds sometimes!) to collect my bike and probably go for a ride or run or both. I'm dreadful when it comes to exercise. I don't do much for a few months, then feel horribly guilty when I realise it's been 10 weeks since I went running, and then I obsess over it, and feel awful if I miss a day, even if it's because I can barely get out of bed due to seized up thigh muscles (Did I not say? This blog may contain some hyperbole...).

Hopefully I'll get some idea of the amount of work I need to do for this ACE race, and will keep it up afterwards. I'd like to get into it properly, maybe do about 4 a year. Look at me, I've not even done it yet and I'm planning my next one! I like the idea of a physical challenge though, I know that my PGCE is going to be a mental one (just filling in the forms is enough!) and I could do with something to make me get out of the house, other than visiting Ollie in Lancaster. And seeing as I'll be visiting Lancaster, doing things outdoors would be a good thing. If I can drag the boy away from his desk that is!

Right, going to continue my life of drama and excitement and go to bed and watch Dr Who. Hoo-bloody-rah...

Greetings from blog to blog! I only just discovered the existence of the belter-ly named "Stand back, i'm going to try SCIENCE" the now! And top notch it is too.
Everything'll work out with the placement, and soon you'll be knee deep in teenage arseholes, magic.
Today i had a class with all the teachers in the uni, and only ONE turned up. What a slap in the face. To her credit she didn't suggest sacking it off and going for a coffee, but valiantly did all the worksheets and team activities on her own, what a wee hero. I think i'm going to start bringing cakes or something, try and bribe them to actually turn up. The life of a teacher, eh! xx

The title comes from a really rather geeky comic called XKCD.com I read. I think you'd like it actually. They do a t-shirt with it on, I should probably get one, just to warn the kids.

It's either that, or the one that references the Cosmic Microwave Backgroud on the back, and says "Science, it works, bitches" on the front...
